Strengthen Israel and the Jewish future – Leave a Legacy to the UIA

Download Bequest Form

Continuity is a dominant value in Jewish Life. Jewish men and women have always seen themselves as part of something greater, going beyond their immediate environment and times. Just as their fathers and mothers strove to create a better Jewish existence for them, so they can be part of creating something of lasting value for generations to come.

As a UIA Planned Giving donor you can leave a legacy as a Bequest or as an Endowment or Annuity Fund to be used in perpetuity.

The gift you leave has the power to strengthen the Jewish future. This is an important consideration to bear in mind when you make the long-range financial arrangements expressed in your Will.

Drawing up a Will is an act or caring. Naturally, you want to provide for your dear ones. But do not forget the greater Jewish family of which you are a part. Consider Israel as an “additional Child” in your estate planning, creating a lasting connection between you, your family and the Jewish State.

Wills & Bequests

When leaving a Bequest to the UIA you are ensured that a part of your estate is distributed to the State of Israel and securing her future.

The Keren Hayesod Wills and Bequests Programme offers the most flexible way to determine how your Bequest will do the most good, in compliance with your own preferences.

If you prefer to designate your Bequest for a specific activity or programme or establishing a building or facility in your name, this can be done.

 Endowment Funds

Endowment Funds serve both the current and future needs of the State of Israel.

Keren Hayesod Endowment Funds are designed to serve as permanent income-generating funds that provide annual support for Keren Hayesod activites in perpetuity. The principal itself is not distributed. Instead it is invested and every year, starting from one year after the creation of the Fund, revenues from the principal are allocated, in the donor’s name, to Keren Hayesod programs. A minimum contribution of $50,000.00 is required to create an Endowment Fund which is tax deductible.

Annuity Endowment Funds

"If I am not for myself who will be for me?  If I am only for myself who am I? And if not now, when?"
(Pirkei Avot)

Annuity Endowment funds are specially designed for people who wish to create a Keren Hayesod Fund but are concerned about forgoing the interest they would normally receive on the capital. This option offers donors the unique opportunity of making a significant commitment to the future needs of the State of Israel while benefitting from a generous guaranteed annuity. A minimum contribution of $50,000.00 is required to establish an Annuity Endowment Fund and is not tax deductible.
