Keynote Speaker: Karnit Goldwasser
Karnit Goldwasser is the widow of IDF soldier Ehud Goldwasser who was abducted together with Eldad Regev by Lebanon's Hezbollah movement during the Second Lebanon-Israel War.
Before this tragedy occurred she was studying for a Master of Science (MSc) degree in civil and environmental engineering from Israel's renowned Technion Institute.
Karnit used every fibre of her being lobbying and addressing both local and international leaders in her attempt to gain the release of Ehud and his fellow soldiers. Her inspirational fight highlights how much the people of Israel give in order to protect this country for all of us - we all need a strong Israel for a strong Jewish future.
After a long struggle Ehud and Eldad's bodies were returned to Israel in July 2008 for a Jewish burial.
