UIA NSW AGM 2008

The NSW AGM was attended by over 250 guests where Bruce Fink, UIA NSW President presented the years activities and initiatives, as well as the UIA vision for 2009.
Greg Masel, Director General of Keren Hayesod, who sits on a very exclusive committee with the Prime Minister of Israel, addressed the audience on the importance of the thread of leadership common to all of us.
Reports were presented by Geoff Weinberg, Hon. Treasurer, Jeremy Reid, outgoing Chairman Young Leadership Division and Jonathan Caplan, Hon. Secretary, who announced the incoming executive for 2009.

Five awards were presented:
Max Freilich Award for long standing service to Israel and the Jewish people through the UIA NSW, was presented to Alex Selig OAM by Bruce Fink.
Donny Lambert Award in memory of the late Donny Lambert was presented to Josh Bolot by Ziggy Lambert-Revel for inspiring and ensuring the continuity of Israel through the Young Leadership Division.
Janet Simons Award in memory of Janet Simons was presented to Bev Michaelis and Judy Stromer by Nikki Vernon, Janet's daughter for women who have giving the most outstanding service and commitment to Israel through the Women's Division.
Special Certificate was presented to Rev. Andre Winkler by UIA NSW Life President and son in law Stanley Roth for his years of dedicated and devoted service to Israel though the UIA.
