Time is Precious – So are our Volunteers
Our Volunteers are essential
to the success of our Campaign. They are a vital part of the Campaign team
- our UIA Family - which includes
Cabinet, Heads of Divisions, Hosts and Office Administrative Helpers.
UIA is fortunate to have access to their eagerness, devotion and
energy. UIA gains great value from their expertise in areas such as IT,
law,
publishing, accounting and business.
Volunteers can be Keyworkers
or members of the UIA Taskforce, and are often both. They are most
active during peak Campaign time,
February
to May, and Follow-up Campaign in November, although they are
called upon at other times of the year for special events such as Boardroom
meetings and our Annual General Meeting.
Keyworkers
- Act
as Hosts to encourage participation at our events, maintaining
contact with people on their Host list throughout the year
- Contact members
of the community on their Host lists and follow up attendance at functions
- Participate in phone
campaigns during the year to secure pledges from those who do not attend
functions or who have
not yet pledged
- Offer their homes
at times for meetings or events
Taskforce
Members - Office and Event Helpers
- Prepare invitations,
pledges and notices for mass mailouts
- File pledge forms
and check lists prior to events
- Attend events to
man registration checkpoints
UIA NSW is very grateful for any assistance
volunteers are able to offer. If you would like to volunteer, please contact
us.
